Bethel Sunday School

11:00-12:00

Bethel has long had a reputation for being a church with great kids’ programs and many committed, Christ-loving volunteers. And that describes our Sunday School.

Bethel’s Sunday School is one of the oldest kids’ programs in our city, dating back over 100 years. We currently have a team of 45+ volunteers who serve as teachers, helpers, and hall monitors. All of our volunteers are reviewed in our Plan to Protect program.

When?

Each week, the children join us in Family Bible Hour (FBH) at 11:00 for the music worship, leaving for class before the preaching begins (approx. 11:20). Sunday School runs until 12:00pm. At this time, the children grade 2-9 will be dismissed, and children aged 2-grade 1 will wait to be picked up and signed out by parents in their classrooms.

Our Sunday School program runs year-round as follows:

September-May, regular weekends:

6 separate classes for age 2 through grade 9

~ June-August & long weekends:

    open format (2 classes),

age 2-3, JK through grade 5

Sunday School Curriculum:

We use Gospel Light curriculum for age 2 through grade 6. This curriculum immerses children in stories from the Bible and allows them to experience God’s Word in a fun, interactive way as they get know Jesus. It gives children a strong foundation in the Bible, and by the end of grade 6 they will have gone through the Bible 5 times!
