Programs for Kids

Programs for Kids

Children and families are very important to us at Bethel. We believe in supporting families with young children by providing programs that reinforce the training and instruction that strong parenting provides in the homes.

We have a number of opportunities for you to involve your children in the Bethel community. Programs that are fun, safe, and reinforce the principles we believe are taught in God's Word.

Introduce your children to Jesus through participation in:

Sunday School - Sunday mornings

Sunday School is an important part of our mission here at Bethel.

We teach children about God, His love, and His desire to have a personal relationship with them so that they can worship, pray, teach, care, and serve.

Dedicated, fun-loving and understanding teachers make the Sunday School year a valuable and enjoyable experience.

Regular Sunday School for ages 2 - thru Grade 9 runs September - May, 11:15 am - 12:15 pm

Summer Sunday School for ages 2 - thru Grade 8 runs May - August, 11:15 am - 12:15 pm

Awana - Tuesdays

Leading Kids to Know, Love, and Serve Christ

Founded in 1941, Awana is an international ministry currently comprised of over 250,000 staff in 18,000 churches around the world. Throughout its 80 years of history, millions of alumni have benefitted from the truth and training that they experienced during their time spent in an Awana club.

The founder of Awana, the late Art Rorheim, derived the Awana name from the first letters of the phrase “Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed,” as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible which reads, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (NIV). Awana at Bethel Gospel Chapel strives to remain true to the goal of training up godly children by creating an atmosphere of fun combined with Biblical teaching and scripture memorization.

Awana at Bethel will meet 6:00-7:30 pm each Tuesday from Sept 14, 2021 to April 19, 2022

Our four clubs: Cubbies (ages 3 and 4), Sparks (SK - Grade 2), T & T (Grades 3 - 6), Trek (Grades 7 - 9)

Face-Coverings (Masks) Reminder

As per the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit policy and Ontario Roadmap to Reopening guidelines for places of worship, we are encouraging all Cubbies to wear masks where possible, and are requiring Sparks, T&T, Trek, Leaders, Directors, and parents/caregivers (when inside the building) to wear masks (understanding there are certain exemptions as laid out by the NBPSDHU).

Please register your child online at the Bethel Awana 2Tim2 website here. For more information, please feel free to contact the Awana Ministry Directors, Dan and April Jarvis, at (705) 752-4768.
